Biography:

John Boughton is Deputy Managing Director of Willmott Dixon Wales and West. He has over 30 years’
experience in the construction industry, having successfully delivered projects across all sectors in Wales and
the South West. He has been instrumental in Willmott Dixon’s growth in the region, helping it grow to the £200
million business it is today.

John is an outstanding leader with a commitment to promoting diversity both within Willmott Dixon and the
wider built environment. He has a strong interest in understanding social change, and the impact it has on our
day to day lives, work and how it will set our paths for the future.
Before joining Willmott Dixon, John worked for several construction contractors including Tarmac South West,
Sir Robert McAlpine and Pearce Group. John was a member of the advisory board for Constructing Excellence
South West and is always exploring ways to drive change within construction, looking for the catalysts for
change and making them happen.

John holds a first-class honours degree in construction management and is interested in collaboration, people
and how environments and behaviours can affect performance.
